BAD CHECK sum (CMOS)

CPU/Ram: 256
Comment:

I am getting the message "BAD check sum (CMOS) Check system. Then press [F1] key" I have pressed F1 and put all settings at Default. Then when I reboot I get same message as before. Help please

This wouldn't be a Toshiba Laptop by any chance? There are some issues with them!
