I cannot find backup in windows xp.i looked in system tools and it wasnt listed

What version of XP are you using? Win XP Home does not install a backup utility by default, but it is present on the Win XP CD.

To install it, double-click on the NTBACKUP.MSI file in the \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP folder.

i have the home version of xp.and i only have restore disks that came with it.
