Hi, I am trying to figure out what's the best way to backup my profile. A few months ago, my profile went corrupt and I lost everything... my e-mail, documents, desktop icons, everything. I am starting to think I should do something to prevent this from happening again. Is there any way to backup my profile so if my profile goes corrupt again, I could just restore my profile?

Theres alot of backup choices :
1. MS Backup . Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools
2. Symantec's Ghost
3. Or use Google to search for one

First thing, do not store any data in your profile. If you don't have a separate partition on your HDD, just create a separate folder to store the "My Documents" information. Then, point the "My Documents" shortcut to that folder.

Store all data in there...Email, Documents, Favorites, etc. Back it up regularly. That way, if your profile or your OS gets corrupted, you won't lose your data.
