Hi Hope someone can help, My brothers computer stopped working, it ended up being the motherboard or processor, so he bought new ones and I installed them, Windows would not boot either normally or in safe mode the computer would just restart?? So I pluged my IDE cable into the hdd and my laptop and proceeded to backup the data so I could wipe the hdd. It let me copy off all the user folders apart from the main one I setup for my brother who had admin rights this folder appear empty and when i try to copy it i get a write protect error, doen anyone know how I can save this data, as he has photos etc on here??
