I want to backup up my system32 folder under the windows folder. How can I do it. I don't have any third party software. I only have the original burning software (roxio cd creator) that I came with Windows XP.

I wish there was a strictly tutorial forum on this site..:),

Anyhow the term backup can often times be watered down to mean copy and paste/save as or in depending on what you are needing to backup (system files).

In your case I recommend using the backup feature under all programs >> accessories >> system tools..

Save the backup to some directory and burn it afterwards using your roxio..and if you have to restore it,all you have to do is restore the .bkf file

The Backup Program isn't Installed on XP - not on the Home edtn anyway - but it is on the XP CD - I forget exactly where but someone will know
