hi all i have made an image file of my xp cd using clone cd (.ccd image) so i can burn a new one anytime i want i now have a vista dvd and would like to back that up to in case of damage (scratches etc) the version of nero and clone dvd i have dont seem to do this i need to make an iso or ccd or some kind of image file to save to my external hard drive in case i need to format etc. any help much appreciated thanks in advance tcummo

You need a program that converts DVD to iso, which neither CloneCD (clue in the name there ;-) ) or Nero will do. Nero should be able to copy a Vista DVD though if you just want a backup. If you really want an iso image, there are loads of commercial programs that will do it - a quick Google of 'DVD iso' will find them, but I can't recommend any free ones I'm afraid.
