Hi everybody,
My job is: Every day I make file in the server with name: SMPyymmddhhmm where
yy=year
mm=month
dd=day
hh=hour
mm=minute
My friends every day they put there important files on this folder and at the end of day I make back to this file on floppy drive.

Example: if today is 05/08/14 I want to make program to telnet the server and do backup for file SPM050814hhmm .
Is it possible????

If your friends are all using 2000 or XP then they could use the built in ntbackup program to do the backups. Naming them according to date isn't really necessary as the backups are time/date stamped already. I would however name them according to which PC they come from so you will know which is which should anybody ever need to do a restore.

As for transferring across the network, that could be done simply from each client PC with a batchfile using xcopy. Have the batchfile map a network drive to the main backup folder on the server. Copy the backup file. Disconnect the mapped drive.

Then you could use the same program (ntbackup) to inlcude all those backed up files into the main backup on your server.
