Hi.

I have a movie in AVI format on my computer. I would like to put it on a DVD. I have a DVD burner and I have DVD+R disks and DVD-R disks. I want the DVD to be able to work on my older DVD player that I have. Is there a particular program that I can buy to do this and should I use the -Rs or +Rs. It is important that the DVD works on my old DVD player. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew

Newer versions of Nero can create DVDs. You can do a Google search for "DVD creation software" to get a list of others.

You might have to experiment a bit to get a disk that works in your DVD player, if it's a bit old. Theoretically you should be able to use either +R or -R media, but some players can be fussy.

If you are going to use it on an older DVD player then use -R. Older machines will not recognise +R.

NeroVision Express 2 or 3 will convert your .avi to a DVD .vob It comes bundled with Nero but you may have to install it from your disk if it is not already on your PC.

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

Thanks for all of the replys. It turns out that my DVD player is so old that it cannot read either +R or -R. It looks like I will be getting a new player.

Thanks
