hi can any one plse tell of a free s/w which convert avi films into mpeg all the ones on the net are 50% or 1st 3 miutes only

depends if you want mpeg 1 or 2 there are some that do to mpeg 1 (also used in VCDs) not many do it to mpeg 2 (the one used in DVD's) nero does it

hi , try this one its free im currently using it.takes about 4 to 7 hours to convert a .avi to dvd format..if thats the format you want.its called vso divxtodvd http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm
Summary: can anyone tell me the name of a good avi to mpeg/vcd converter please one that doesnt take a whole day to convert and also a program to join a 2 part movie together onto disc pls ...
