AVI to DVD converter

i have a video that is an avi file is there a program free on the net that i can download to convert the file to dvd so that i could burn it on to a dvd disc and be able to watch it on a dvd player?

Well im sure you already know that almost all DVD players dont play AVIs, hence your question. DVD players play .vob files (dvd files). I dont know if there is a free one out there but I found this with google.

hi ,
i just started converting avi to dvd format just to let u know it can take up to 16 hours for 1 700mb avi file.i use nero vision express takes 8 hours with that.some free ones will let you convert but if you dont pay for full version you get box in the middle saying if you pay you wont have that box.

Vegas Video and DVD Architect will do the job but it has a huge price tag.

Hehe funny you say that..

Just look at your subject..

AVI2DVD is the program name,., Or used to be.

It's now called dvd2svcd
just load the avi and click.. it will convert to dvd
