I have a movie that is in Avi format, I can hear the audio but there is no video, I find this strange. what would cause this and how can I remedy it. I have Windows XP, I tried it on 2000 Pro and 95c it still does not work. Please help. Is it possible to convert it to MPEG3 and view it?

most likely the avi file you have is based off divx codec which isnt supplied with XP. do an internet search for divx codec and find the lastest version (4 i think) install it and that should solve the problem.
