I ran AVG and Panda this morning and both said no Viruses found. A little later I got a box that popped up and it was AVG shield. It said a virus was detected and to run AVG so I did and it still said No Virus found. Does anyone know why this happened?

Hi Elaine Hudkins, hi everybody,
Wasn't the virused file deleted when detected? Don't forget to update virus definitions!
Have a good day, Gérard from Paris, France

The next time it pops up with the message read it, and if it says RESTORE in it then its in a system restore point and cannot be removed from there, they have to be deleted.
Start - control panal - (in classic view)system - system restore tab then put a tisk in the box that says turn of system restore and restart the computer all system restore points will have been deleted along with the virus then go back and untick the box to restart system restore again and restart the computer

Just another thought do a search for pup.exe if you have this on your system then it's a Downloader.VB.EC virus which makes a backup copy in media player which also wont work and throws up the AVG shield warning.
