AVG sending emails

Ok i have Xp running AVG Anti Virus and I noticed the email scanner is showing that somehow my PC is trying to send several emails to unknown addresses and IP addresses, the only way for me to stop this is shutting off the email scanner. Any ideas. Something is going on? Chuck

Load up AVG and diasable the email scanner..
I found that when you send an email that avg scans, other servers see's this as spam and rejects it. I know ofr a fact AOL you get a bounce back from my location and afew private ISPs.
