AVG repair install

I run AVG free edition with Kerio firewall free edition (previous version because I heard latest version was not as good). In the Kerio readme, they tell to install AVG before installing Kerio, due to some reason I don't remember. So, will the repair installation be allright with Kerio already installed, or should I uninstall and reinstall both? Thanks a lot for your advices.
