Hi, I'm hoping someone else has gone through this and will know what i'm talkin about. I'm basically trying to setup 878tv on windows xp, i've tried alot applications including prolink but theres always a problem, but i've heard AverMedia is the most successfull.
I downloaded tvc98xp.zip for windows xp from the AverMedia site. I've installed the drivers as instructed, the drivers are woking fine. I installed application, the picture comes perfectly, but theres no sound. I checked my sound settings and made sure the line-in was on, and it was up high, but it still didn't work. I also messed around with other sound option but that still didn't work. the following are my system specs:

Pentium III 550 MHz
Memory: 128 SD RAM
Graphics: Intel 82810 graphics controller
Audio: Intel Integrated Audio (Intel 82801AA AC'97 Audio Controller)

Can anyone please help. Thanks!.

avermedia tv tuner cards use an external stereo audio cable connection from the tv tuner card rear panel audio out port to the line in port on the sound card. i would think their software application would expect to see this configuration.
