I recently modded my PC case, moving it all over to a new one. In doing so something corrupted Windows and left it requiring repairng which eventually was completed before it would even come back on. Having thankfully recovered my hard drive I was blissful until I realised that sound no longer played. :( The device manager says its all there and there are no conflicts although the actual avance folder is empty, avrack in the start menu leads nowhere since its file is missing and soundman doesnt seem to activate... I've no idea what has hapenned and why sound wont play but please, please please, help me out if possible. I'd reinstall it but I can't find a disk that has it on, I don't think the PC came with one.

No, that hasn;t helped, I've searched for tonnes of drivers already, i just end up getting the same few and none seem to make a difference. I was thinking maybe the sound output part got damaged when i transferred it to the new case but wouldnt the diagnostic say it isnt working?
