Comment:

[autorun]
open=c:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimePlayer.exe sample.mpg

By putting the above lines in an autorun.inf, sample.mpg will be played by QuickTime player as I insert a CD in the CD-ROM driver.

What if I wanted to play sample.mpg using a "default" mpeg player (e.g. real player, media player, or some others that are set as default mpeg viewer in the Windows)? What do I set in the autorun.inf?

I don't believe it can be done using autorun by itself, although I may be wrong. I thought the references in autorun.inf had to be a specific program.

for instance, if you put:
[autorun]
open=c:\Program Files\sample.mpg

it shouldn't technically work.
