Comment:

Front end posted "Virus Alert" and I thought it was quaranteened. When I try to view files, most text is not visible. It appears that text color has been changed to white, so it is not readable. Running Norton One-Button Check-up, the Auto-Protect feature is disabled. Norton appears to fix it, but the next run shows it as still disabled. Help???

Regards,
Bernard Samstag (aka: Sam)

states:

"By default, Norton AntiVirus remains disabled until the Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard is launched. The Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard can be launched manually, or it automatically launches by the fifteenth time that the computer is restarted. After the Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard is executed, Norton AntiVirus remains enabled unless specifically disabled.
Use the following steps to start the Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard.

Open Norton AntiVirus 2002.

From the Windows XP default Start menu, point to All Programs, Norton AntiVirus, and then click Norton AntiVirus 2002.
From the classic Start menu, point to Programs, Norton AntiVirus, and then click Norton AntiVirus 2002.

Follow the on-screen instructions for the Norton AntiVirus Information Wizard.
If the preceding steps did not resolve the issue, Norton AntiVirus must be removed and reinstalled."
