The Autoplay feature may not start the correct Autorun command from a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM
Check your settings here: Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services/Shell Hardware Detection/Return this service to Automatic.

Try this: Right click the drive in Explorer and choose
Properties. This
will lead you to an Autoplay or Events tab where you can
which program should do what when you plug in.

If that doesn't fix it, there is a fix on MS's website. Search for
Autoplay Repair Wizard. Be forewarned that the download
page asks you to
validate your copy of Windows before downloading the wizard
annoying!). You can, perversely enough, opt out of validation
and still
download the fix.

I couldn't function without my computer but my computer seems to function just fine without me! Out of couriosity do you have any idea what caused the autoplay function to stop?

Thank you so much for your respect of my ignorance.
