I've seen a lot of posts on here about this already, but I'm wondering if anyone has any new information...

In earlier posts, the advice was to turn off the automatic restart option under the Startup and Recovery, but it didn't work at all. The only error message I'm getting in my event viewer says:
The server {C7E39D60-7A9F-42BF-ABB1-03DC0FA4F493} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

Does this mean anything to anyone?

It seems that since it's so wide-spread that it may be a problem with Microsoft/Windows, but I couldn't find any patches or anything on their website. Could it be virus related?

Anyone have any other ideas or know what's causing it?

(stupid thing restarted 7 times just trying to post this thing. 5x just trying to get to this page.)

That error is in relations to McAfee. Do you use McAfee?

this might be the solution:
https://us.mcafee.com/root/fix.html

Another fix related to this is cleared up by

start > control panel > add/remove programs > remove all networking items in there. (hot fixes) and reinstalling them from windows updates.

Thank you. Yes I do use McAfee. The tool is running. Hopefully it will work. If it doesn't I'll run the other fix you suggested.

Thanks again!

I ran the tool and it didn't work. So I downloaded the removal tool, uninstalled McAfee, and it still didn't work! Stupid thing keeps restarting!
