Automatically log off when logging

I have an issue with Windows XP. I log-in and it shuts down. I think I accidently disabled Explorer.exe from the System Conf. Utility. under the tab "Services" or "start-up". Can you help???

Log in in safemode and run system restore to an earlier date before you made the change.

The same thing happens in safe mode. I can't get in.
