If you are having problems with automatic updates service not starting or you get an error message like this:
'Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.'

then try this link it worked for me in less than half an hour from start to end;

No scam, no money, no adware or trojans it worked!

Anti-spyware to fix update problems? I don't think so.

There's a Windows Service fix that works.

I use "SuperAntiSpyware" and it's good. However, this is only a valid solution if the cause happens to be the presence of malware. This is not the usual reason for update problems.
