The yellow sheild icon will stay on my taskbar for the entire time Iam logged onto the internet ? When I roll the mouse over it ,I will get a 0% text info . Now it had already downloaded a entire update that took aprx 45 minutes ,and it use to remove the icon after the automatic update was finished ? However latley it just stays there saying downloading update 0% ? Any suggestions ,I will look in event viewer to see if it list any info ! Thanks Nick No info in event viewer, except for the successfull update ?

No I have not installed SP3 ! Going along the line of thinking that if its not broke dont fix it,and for the most part my PC is a wonderful work horse ,both with the H.W. and the applications installed ! Also Iam still on a dial up internet connection (I know move into the 2000's) I will soon be getting either DSL or cable internet service ! SP3 is a pretty large download I believe and usally my connection will drop B/4 a large download completes ! If I can get it on CD-R that would be great ! Take Care Nick
