Auto-logon in XP

Can anyone please tell how to set up automatic logon in Windows XP home. Whenever I power up or restart ,I always have to then click on the User icon before it loads everything . It drives me mad !!!! Many thanks.

Open control panel, click "Users Accounts", and change the "way users log off or on"..

Click Start button, then click run. Type in the box "control userpasswords2" take the check mark out of the box marked "Users must enter a user name..............". Click apply and it will ask you which account to log onto automatically. Type in all of the necessary info user name, password (if you have to enter one). Hope this is what you’re looking for! PDN
