Microsoft Outlook 2003 (full)
August 5, 2009 at 13:25:40
Specs: Windows Vista
Autocomplete has stopped working even though the enabled tick box is checked.

Autocomplete will remember a name I have sent an email to on the same day, but when I log in again it does not remember the address and does not autocomplete. Help!

To confirm you have;

On the Tools menu, click Options.
On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options, and then click Advanced E-mail Options.
Check the Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields check box.

Is this pc part of a domain?

Talk to your network admin. sounds like a policy was engaged that deletes history, etc

Thanks, have already spoken to the IT help and they told me that as the check box is enabled for autocomplete it should work fine and could not help further, hence my seeking other routes for help. I will mention to them about the deleting of history and see if this gets me any further. Many thanks for your help.
