my pc shutdown by itself. i dont mean it goes through the shutdown procedure. it shuts off as if someone pulled the power cord, but it only happens if someone is using it

have you checked the event viewer for any messages?

Is your computer overheating and as a fail safe shutting down. Try downloading HDD Thermometer and check.

What are your computer temps and specs. Make sure your RAM and VideoCard are cooled correctly. Sorry, meant hard-drive instead of videocard..Also check your CPU..I had the same problem..Installed the parts to a new COOLERMASTER WAVEMASTER CASE, added more fans and cooling units.
