Hi Duran,

Not much you can do against those types of errors. It is an error in AutoCAD itself. Probably because you have too little RAM memory, but here are some suggestions:

▫ Are you using drawings that were made with another version of AutoCAD? If you are, then save the drawings as 'version 2004 drawings' before using them.

▫ Also, in AutoCAD, do this:
File Menu>Drawing Utilities>Audit
which will go through all the items in the drawing and check them for errors.

▫ If you are working on a drawing with lots of items, make sure you update the modelspace regularly via the "regenall" command. If you are running the Architectural DeskTop, then the "_objrelupdate" command should also be used to refresh the AEC objects.

▫ If you are getting these errors right after or during the 3Dorbit command (continuous orbit [3Dcorbit]), then it is probably because of the continuous mode. Especially if you have extra info added to the objects, like textures. This is an error in AutoCAD.
You may find an update on the AutoDesk website that can fix it.

▫ You say that you have 256MB RAM memory. This is not really enough to work on larger drawings. You should have at least 512MB or if you are working on very big drawings, then 1GB of RAM memory.

For now, as a temporary solution, you could increase your page-file virtual memory via:
ControlPanel>System>Advanced>press the "Settings" button in the Performance area (top). On the next panel, select the Advanced page, and press the "Change" button, so you can increase the virtual memory:
"Paging File Size for selected drive"
>Custom Size>Maximum File Size = increase the number(double it for example). Press the "Set" button to apply the change. You may need to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

This will probably prevent the "api violation" errors, but using virtual memory will be slow. You should get more RAM memory instead.
