Grettings...
When I try to record onto my computer using Sonic Foundry Acid Pro 3.0 the tempo changes while recording! so it's all out of sync. I got a new computer last month and from then the audio ain't working. - I've got a Creative Soundblaster 4.1 Live! soundcard, and I downloaded the latest drivers and it says it all works properly.

On the Device manager it says under Other Devices that it doesn't have a Driver for "Multimedia Audio Controller" - which looks to me like the problem(Also the same for "SM Bus Controller,USB Controller - which indicates to me it's a problem with the motherboard.) BUT there is a driver for the soundcard I use (Creative Labs) and under "Sound, Video and game controllers" it is displayed as working correctly.

I downloaded a driver program that told me that me some futher information:
"Chip: Intel Corporation 82850 Host-Hub Interface Bridge Device (A2-step)" I've tried looking for drivers for the motherboard for the past hour to know gain.

Sometimes when I'm listening to music it might skip a bit too, very very annoying. Any help?

Tis-I: a few suggestions;

1. upgrade to XP Pro SP1.

2. run the DirectX diagnostic;
click Start, Run, type: dxdiag
open the tab for Sound and run the tests,
then open the More Help tab.

3. download the audio codec DivX from;

http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/audiocodecs.html

and Musepack Encoder from;

http://www.free-codecs.com/index2.htm

and for advice and a host of codecs, see:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm

let us know what worked for you...
