audio skipping

I am having audio troubles. My audio loves to lagg. I have uninstalled drivers, reinstalled drivers. Used a USB audio interface still lots of lagg. My ram is free and i have 15gigs of virtual memory. It is getting on my nerves! Please help

What sound card do you have? Does the mobo have on board audio, if so and you are using an audio card did you diasable it in the bios?

I originally hava onboard soundcard but i disabled it to use my M-Audio MobilePre USB. Everything was working fine the other day then my onboard sound started to skip. (I dont belive the problem has to do with the cards themself)

Did you check the bios to see if the audio is still disabled?

yes the audio is still disables. I have solved my problem.
I uninstalled all IDE controllers and restarted my pc.
