Hey everybody, I have an interesting problem. Just built my computer and everything works fine--or so it looked that way until I got my speakers. I've checked all the drivers, everything is up-to-date, and the speaker plug is completely in, but only the left speaker works. I've put the same speakers in another computer, and both speakers worked. I even got 2 pairs of completely different headphones that I tried with my mp3 player and both worked completely fine and well, but if I plug them into the front audio OR the back audio port, only the left speaker works! And I've checked my volume control, everything is perfect. Anyone got any ideas? I'm a gamer and it sucks when I have to make sure my character is on the left side of someone to hear them. I need help--ASAP please.

Try-
Control Panel,
Sounds,
Then Sounds and Audio Devices,
then Advanced button under Speaker Settings,
then see that "Speaker Setup" has Stereo selected, and not Mono.

It seems like the only thing left is a bad sound card, it's probably on-board sound so if you can get a PCI sound card try it.

Thanks birdlegs and Chuck 2 for your quickness- I didn't expect answers for a few hours. Chuck 2, I checked my speaker properties, they were fine, but I didn't think about that, so thanks for reminding me. Birdlegs, it looks like thats the way to go, I'm planning on buying a sound card within the next few days and if I have any more problems I'll repost.
