Ok, I went to eat dinner at Long John's for about an hour and when I returned all of the audio on my comp is sounding like it is in slow motion. I checked every audio setting I could think of, but it still sounds like it is in slow motion. When I listen to music it sounds like it is in slow motion no matter what music player I use. When I play games all the games sounds are in seemingly slow motion as well. Any help here guys would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: BTW it is not my speakers as I have tested them on another machine already and they work fine.

Nerm,
It would really help if you stated what sound system you have.
Is it Creative Labs?
Let us know.

Are you playing from a cd? the cd-rom may be dying.

No it is not the cd-rom. I have already tried music from other computers, music off of cd's, online radio. I have also tried new drivers and everything else I can think of.

Nerm, All I can come up with is
"Time Scaling" I have that on my sound system and I can slow down the audio or increase the speed of the audio through a slide button that really looks like a volume control.
So, Check to see if your system has a "Time Scaling" control that got moved somehow.
Let us know the outcome.
Good Luck.
