Comment:

I use Win XP and all of a sudden I'm having two different audio problems.

1. I'm not hearing any system sounds, XP starting up or individual programs that have sound when they start up (except for Skype when I reboot).

2. I'm not hearing audio from web pages. I do get streaming audio from radio stations, but I don't get audio that's delivered from an mp3 off a web page or the audio from videos, such as camtasia or other web based videos. I have this problem with both Firefox and IE, so it's not a browser issue.

I get audio from files on my hard drive, such as mp3s and audio from videos.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Is your hearing OK? Maybe it's time to see an audiologist to be sure (couldn't resist :-)
