Hi guys, (and girls, if female computer nerds exist ( : ) here is my problem:
Every time I have a song playing and I go to do something else (like open up a web browser) i get a wierd high pitched noise from my speakers... it's just for a split second though. It also happens when I scroll down a webpage really fast. I imagine it's some kind of interference... it's just annoying. I recently picked up a set of Logitech Z-560 speakers *droolz* and i want to be able to hear my music w/o the fritzy sound. Thanks!! Oh, and if it helps I think i have an old Soundblaster card in my PC... 16 bit or something?

that's just a natural reaction of a cpu, in order to fix it you'll need to get a VERY good cpu and sound card.

Just replace the Soundblaster 16 soundcard with something a bit more modern. Soundblaster Live Value cards are reasonably priced.

Leave your cpu alone, nothing wrong with that.

to me that sounds more like an irq sharring problem check your irq's.
are you using acpi or standard computer?
try changing your sound card from a pci slot the farthest from the agp card this may change the irq and the sound card may be given a unique irq.
cheers
