I selected 10 songs (in .CDA format) and burned them onto a CDRW using Nero. I selected "Compile New Audio CD", selected the files, and set the option "Finalize CD", but the resulting disk can't play in the burner nor can it play in a CD player. how can I make it playable?

You will have convert the .cda file to a palyable format, such as .wav, or .mp3. Your nero should have an option to do this. If i had to guess you copied to songs to your HDD and then pulled them into the Nero? I have had this happen to me once. Convert, then burn.

if i read right, then ur problem is that you changed them to .cda. you dont do this manually, it happens during the burn. you have to leave them as .wav and let Nero do it. i did the same thing when i started making audio CDs.

And it might help if you burn them on CD-R instead of a CD-RW.

CD-RW should at least be able to play in the very burner you wrote in on.

My car stero likes CD-RW, but I have to feed it .MP3s

yeah, I copied them from CD albums onto HDD and tried to make my own collection, but the CDA files can't play after burned onto a CDRW. if I save them in .AU or .MP3 formats, would that fix the problem?
