Hi. I'm looking for something that would convert MP3 to Audio. Currently I use a very dated version of MusicMatch (8.x). I tried using Nero, but for some reason the CD is barely readable in my car's CD changer. The transition between tracks take a *very* long time and I don't know why. The ones created in Musicmatch seem to work fine, though. What's another program anyone recommends?

Thanks.

My suggestion would be to burn the cd's as slow as possible. Different programs do not alter the way they burn, the hardware burns exactly the same way regardless of wether it's data/audio/video. Slowing down the burning process in my opinion, Produces a deeper burn, which results in better reading.

Did you select the option in Nero to have no gap between tracks?

As yoda said, burn as slow as possible. Burning too fast can cause corruption.

I recently burned 2 audio CD's from MP3 files, and they both play flawlessly in any equipment I've tried.

And yes, I used Nero and burned them at 2x.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Eli, I have used goldwave for years and I edit all my mp3's (intro's, endings and also volume) and then convert them to wavs for audio cd's. I don't use any normalizing features as I've never found one that worked properly. This way all the tunes stay in the same volume range. Then I use EZ CD at 16X speed and have never had a problem. If you are putting on paper labels, that may also be effecting your playback. I invested in the Epson photo R200 ($79 at Sam's Club) and it prints directly onto the cd's. Hope that helps.

Business as usual

@Sci-Guy

Yes, I removed the 2-second gap. Would that cause problems? I'm not sure what the standard for audio CDs is, because Nero has all these other opens (track-at-once, disc-at-once, methods to cache files, etc.). I'm also burning at 12x, too. The one I burned from Nero was at 16x, so maybe I should slow down.

Thanks for all the other comments.
