I can't install new video drivers to the system. The driver which I'm trying to install is: Windows XP Display Driver version 5.10.2600.6010 The current driver I'm having, is the common Windows XP driver which does NOT support OpenGL. That's why I want to install this new driver. It's quite s---ty to play the games without OpenGL support. The problem occurs when I'm trying to install the NEW driver. After the installation program has copied the new files onto the system, there's a message: "Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup" I tried to install the driver in VGA mode, which I selected from the boot menu but It didn't help! So, how can I install those drivers succesfully into my system?? thanks beforehand!

Try to install the driver manually from ATI CD ROM. You will find the right driver at the following path: INSTALL/R1282K/ATIDRIVE/ATII2KAA.INF (Select the first one, the one with the most blank space) then Select RageFuryPro/Xpert2000Pro

Hmm...is my 3D Rage Pro AGP 2x the same card as "RageFuryPro" or "Xpert2000Pro" ? The driver you mentioned..that one on the ATI CD...does it have OpenGL support? And you think that "RageFuryPro" or "Xpert2000Pro" drivers will work with my 3D Rage Pro?? OK. If that's so, it's quite nice but...I don't have that damn CD :( Any ideas...can I download those same drivers (which are on the ATI CD) somewhere from the internet?? thanks...

The driver that comes with your ATI card must be old and won't work great with XP. Let XP install its driver because if you download the driver from ATI won't do anything for you. XP has the 5.10.2600.6010 driver version in it.

Wait a minute...the driver that comes with WinXP is driver version: Windows XP Display Driver version 5.1.2001.0 And that driver does NOT support OpenGL (and that's s---ty)...check out http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/winxp/winxp5120010rpxlxc.html to be sure of that. The driver version 5.10.2600.6010 can be downloaded from the ATI site but that's the driver which I can't install onto my system. ...and my question was how can i install the driver without errors....

I have the driver for this video card but I can't install to my computer becaus I'm using windows nt, then tell me how can I do for install. All the time say that this driver is older than the windows nt is installing, the rear is that driver installin for windows nt don't work correctly. Pleas hlep me.

The problem is i can't access WINDOWS 98 without first installing this file: Atixbar.sys If i skip the file the computer freezes and i don't have the ATI Drivers with me. Is it possible if i can get this file on web or di you think there's another way out? Thanks
