Hi All,
I've just built up a new machine and my Radeon 9800 Pro (ATI Built) isn't setting itself to 8x, it's setting itself as 0x?????
It seems to run fine. I've tried Doom III Alpha and it's excellently smooth which is hard to get but all the benchmarks say that my card Bus Speed is set to 0. The card itself is capable of 4x/8x.
I've gone to the ATI Control Panel and chose 8x and Fast Write to on. It stops on 8x but it automatically turns Fast Write to off :(
Can anyone help me out with this problem (if it is a problem as it runs everything fine).

Sorry,
Even though I set it to 8x, it still comes up as 0x in the benchmarks and even the ATI Control Panel says it's 0x.
The Asus board is capable of 8x AGP. I've got a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz (800FSB) and the board also supports that and I've got Hyper Threading enabled.

I'm having the same problem with the same motherboard but with a geforce fx card.
Out of curiosity.. when your computer first boots does the first thing it shows say your video card type? Mine does that before it starts the post checks.
I can't figure out how to change agp rate in the bios either.
