I need to know how to remove the astart.exe trojan from my computer. I am having a problem using my internet explorer. i cant search anything on google. I keep getting error messages. Please help.

Did your antivirus program detect it, but cannot remove it? If so, have you tried using your antivirus while you are in the "safe mode"(tap the F8 key during startuo to enter it)? If you have try Trojan Hunter 3, TDS, Tauscan from the trojan area of http://www.wilders.org/ for a trial to detect and clean it?

derongen, Here's some info on astart.exe which may not be a Trojan.

U ASUS TweakEnable astart.exe Restores manually changed settings for ASUS based video cards such as overclocking. Only required if you use non-standard settings.

I still dont know how to remove it and there is a screen saver program that i think started the trojan and it's in my

C:\WINDOWS\System32\asxmas.scr

I don't know how to get rid of it and clean out my system.

Well, if it's not a trojan, how do I get rid of it? I think it's affecting my internet explorer. I can't use yahoo search or google search engines.
