Unless your PC isn't a laptop try another keyboard. If it's a laptop please provide more info i.e. brand name & model ID.

If you have programmed custom functions into some keys I think you would be able to undo them by going to the Keyboard heading in control panel and resetting to default.

unscrew the the bottom panel of the keyboard, clean the metal touch point with the 75% Alcohol, it will work again, it is only problem of the keyboard

The Laptop is a HP Compaq NC6320.

Nothing special is programmed and it is not dirty, I am sure it is a setting of some sort making it move only one point regardless of holding down the key.

Goto excell and hold down the arrow keys it moves untill you let go this is what we need as on this laptop it just moves one point, yet other laptops dont have this problem, I am sure it is a software problem, just cannot remember???

thanks for the help so far though.

cheers
