Hi, I have a problem with the way my left/right arrow keys have been working on my laptop keyboard. It is a Compaq Presario 915 and I have not configured any shortcut keys on my own, other than the standard internet and mail ones at the top of the keyboard. When I am in a word processor typing, if I press the left arrow key, a "Save As" screen pops up, and when I press the right arrow key, it acts as the "End" button and moves to the last word on the line. If I go to scroll through text in renaming a file or typing in a URL in Internet Explorer, the cursor doesn't move at all! This is very frustrating, how can I fix this? I went to Control Panel -> Keyboard already and it's not in the Word settings, so I'm not sure what to do.

I have the same problem. I guess it is due to a particular software that override the key mapping in XP. can you provide a list of the soft installed before the problem occur so that I can see if I have also installed some of them ? No other clue ;-(
