are floppy drives interchangable?

can i put a floppy drive from a compaq computer in a dell computer? compaq is xp, dell is XP Media Center. as the dells don't come with floppy drives no more.

Yes you can. Just make sure you get the cable on the right way. You will know if it is wrong because the light will stay on.
