Hi there,
When I log onto windows it takes approximately 2 - 3 minutes to apply computer settings. An exact computer in the same office with the same software applys computer settings in 4 seconds. They are both the same age PC (only a few months old) and are pretty much free of disk space. What factors cause the PC to take so long to start and is there anything I can do about it?

M4rtyn, SWAG, could it be that you have LOTS of stuff starting up and it just takes a while? Take a look at what's starting and see if you can trim any fat. Cedrtain things MUST activate at startup. Find a list of 'musts' @: http://www2.whidbey.net/djdenham/Uncheck. HTH. Ed in Texas.

MSCONFIG say I have very little starting up. Its prior to the log on screen also, its just when the system is 'applying computer settings'? is that any more help?
