Specs: Windows XP
Hello,

On my Sony VAIO PCV-RX850 Desktop computer, operating on Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 3, 1GB RAM (originally 512MB), 200GB Maxtor Hard Drive, upgraded, I am having a persistant and annoying problem when my Sony desktop computer shuts down. At the end of the process of shutting down, an annoying Application Error Message informational window stating that 'UpnP Framework.exe' is using a wrong memory address, which actually happens to be the same one, anyways; 0x00000000. On my Acer V3 laptop computer with Windows 8.1, connected to a network, luckily I don't have this problem. However, on my Sony computer, home computer, whenever I Shut Down, this problem persists, 9 out of 10 times, at least! Could it be serious later on? I am very appreciative for any viable advice. You didn't think a Canadian can be pedantic and long-winded, too? Just joking. Actually, it is the way I normally write. Again, thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

George

Thank you, guapo. I am going to check out the Sony VAIO Web site under "Drivers and Updates" for the 'VAIO Media Platform Update Program', by Karen Carter, eHow Contributer, from eHow Tech, eHow.com. I hope it works, worth a try. Thank you.

Sincerely,
