I have MS Office 2000 professional and have been using it for years with no problem. About three months ago, however, Outlook stopped opening. First it said that the wininet.dll file was missing and I just finally found your solution for that. I put the missing file in the directory. Now the program goes through the motions of opening but but fails giving me the message "application needs windows installer to run". I am loath to uninstall the program if I don't have to. Any advise? Thanks!

Kas Hayes, I smell a rat! Really odd that it'd be fine for a long time, then FUBAR. Anything M$ is a frequent target of every nasty around. Scanned lately? Don't overlook a possible worm/trojan. HTH. Ed in Texas.
