Hello:
I recently upgraded desktop to XP Profession, and now, as the goes through its boot sequence, I get the following message "Invalid BackWeb Application id "8263142"" square in the middle of my desktop. The message remains in the background through other programs and must be clicked on before it will go away. Also, on occasion, the machine will boot out of a clear blue sky, puctuated by the screams of the user.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Al

its a third party app installed backweb agent, check your add remove and all programs listings and remove it

also use msconfig clean boot troubleshooting to find the startup item or service related to this problem, and then remove it from the 4 areas startup programs are listed

all programs -startup folder
all users -start up items
etc. etc.
