Application failed to initialize

OS: XP
CPU/Ram: Athlon 700MHz/256M
Comment:

Whenever I initialize the shutdown from the "Start" menu, I am prompted "Windows application error: The application
failed to initialize properly."

However, the computer does shutdown. Is there anything that I have to worry about?

Depends on how much you rely on your system. I'd fix the problem before it causes other problems.

Start by looking at the programs running in the system tray, and then look through the Event Viewer logs as well as seeing what's starting up in the Startup folder on your Start menu....
