App Data and PST

Specs: XP
Hello, I need an solution to an problem am currently experience.

I have a batch file that uses xcopy to lift an users profile from an legacy pc to and new pc. Sometimes the legacy pc may have 30 users

The main goal is to reduce the amount of manual input as possible.

The exclude file for xcopy neglects the application data folder and .pst files this is to try and avoid hitting the 255 character length that xcopy has.

I know about xxcopy but unfortunately due to the volumne of pcs that am using it just isnt practical to install this per each machine.

So basically I need an way to pull .pst files and mainly templates from application data for each profile without hitting the 255 character limit.

Any suggestions at all are appreciated and widely welcomed!

Am thinking that one possible solution mite be to

move Application data\Microsoft\templates folder
create and new folder stored on e:\%computername%\profilename\templates

then do the same for the pst files

I think this can be done by telling an batch file for every user profile go to dir copy this folder to location prob using an loop?

Dont know if this helps anyone
