Dial Up -> 56,000 b / s Cost $23.90
High Speed -> 20,000,000 b / s Cost $50.00 (on average)

Short answer NO unless you get high speed. For $27.00 more you can get 360 times the speed. You do the math and ask your self why are you still using dial up.

Deer

There is nothing wrong with my sight. If you mean Computing.net, that is a site. Turn off your caps lock, you are shouting.

Dial up is dependent on many factors. The 56Kb is the theoretical fastest speed a dial up modem can run. In the real world the fastest would be 53Kb. You would be lucky to get that fast. Typical may be half that.

If you are shuck using dial up there are things you can do to speed up page loading. Mostly it has to do with not loading all the eye candy.

Google for ways to decrease dial up load times.

That's true, you could also make sure cached pages is turned in in your browser. It downloads your favorite pages to your C: drive so the next time you visit it only has to download updated content.
