I was having problems with my HP2000c and I figured it out, so hopefully this advice will be helpful. XP defaults the printer port to not using an IRQ, if you setup the port in hardware manager to use an IRQ (or to try not to use an IRQ) you should be fine.

Well, I have an officejet t45 all in one and i cant get it to work in xp. I downloaded the 23MB driver from HP and keep getting communication errors after install. I set the port to ECP and did all the other suggestions i can find from HP and XP web sites. Tech support was also no help. I have done everything required and tried alot of other thigs like installing the 850c driver which is the same for my all in one printer. THIS DRIVER DOES NOT WORK! But please prove me wrong.
