Hi
I need something free for one day so I can activate Half Life 2 on my gaming pc. After that I'm going to dump the provider.
Oh yeah, I don't want to submit my checking account number if I can avoid it.

Thanks!

This is not what I would recommend but it's your call...go HERE to start your FREE 30 day trial right now. Before you do, first create SR point, then dump it before the 30th day and restore the SR point you created.

Most ISPs can supply 'pay as you go' - phone call charges only, so need need for bank details etc. In the UK Wanadoo, Virgin & Tiscali seem ok.

Half life 2 requires you to connect to the internet every time you launch the game, even for single player.

Josh,
Are you sure? I was under the impression that the "offline" option lets you play single player mode regardless of an internet connection or not. You just need to get online to activate the game once.

People's PC is free for 1 month. I wouldn't suggest AOHell as their software really messes up a PC.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Don't mistake me as a fan of AOL which is why I wrote This is not what I would recommend but it's your call....
